I have known for a long time that I am called to be single. I based it on Paul's words in I Corinthians 7:32-34. The unmarried will care more for the things of God, than for the things of the world.
Then one day someone challenged me on Paul and said he was wrong. That got me to praying. I asked God, "If people aren't going to believe Paul then is there any place else in the Bible where we are called to be single? Then in my daily reading I found Matthew 19:11-12: (11) But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying save they to whom it is given. (12) For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
Then I looked at it in The Living Bible: (11) "Not everyone can accept this statement," Jesus said. "Only those whom God helps. (12) Some are born without the ability to marry, and some are disabled by men, and some refuse to marry for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Let anyone who can, accept my statement."
Now I'm not condemning marriage. That's ordained as well. Matthew 19:5-6: What God has joined together let no man put assunder.

I Corinthians 7:32-34
32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth
for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 33
But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how
he may please his wife. 34 There is difference also between
a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord,
that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married
careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
Matthew 19:5-6
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and
shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore
they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together,
let not man put asunder.
